Who writes the content for the website?
You will need to provide all content you want included. This includes biographies, blurbs, reviews, upcoming events, etc. This service does not include copy editing; if you want to polish your website further, consider a professional copy edit from Innovo or other sources.
What if I don’t have much content? What if I have a LOT of content?
You can include up to 10 pages in your web site. If you have a lot of content, we’ll organize all of your pages into categories. If you don’t have much to include, don’t worry; it won’t look empty or lacking. We can design a great-looking website around any amount of material.
What will my website look like?
For the most part, we will base the design of the website (colors, theme, and visual atmosphere) off of your cover design. Don’t love your cover? We offer professional book cover design services, as well. You’ll also be asked to share any personal design preferences and describe the overall mood of your book, to make sure the website reflects it perfectly.
How long will this process take?
Once we have all of your information, you can expect the initial mockups within seven business days. After your review (within five days, please), we’ll take about five days to make revisions, and your site will go live within two days of final approval.
How many revisions can I make to the design?
We’ll provide three mock-ups of the site design, from which you can make two rounds of revisions. Extra revisions would be available for an additional fee.
How do I make changes and updates in the future?
We use an interface that makes it easy to log in and make changes yourself, without worrying about messing up the coding. Plus, we have lots of helpful support features, like tutorials, videos, and guides, which make it easy to make updates and changes.
Will you set up Facebook and Twitter for me?
No; you will need to already have any social media accounts set up. However, once you have them, we can integrate feeds and links into your site, to increase the level of interaction between you and your readers.
Will my blog be integrated?
Since your website will be using a blog interface, blogging is easy and naturally integrated. We won’t write your blog posts for you, but we’ve made everything else about blogging simple.
Do I have to pay for website hosting?
The first year is included in the package price; after that, you have the option to renew for $10/month or $99/year.
What is “Cloud Hosting”?
Instead of storing files on a physical server, where crashes and malfunctions could spell disaster, we store files on the cloud, which means they’re accessible from anywhere and automatically backed up.
How will readers find my website? How does SEO work?
It’s no use having a website if nobody can find it. That’s why we include Search Engine Optimization with every website. This ensures that anyone searching for your author name, book title, or relevant key words has a better chance of finding you among a sea of information.
Does this service guarantee book sales?
